Richard Moon founded Moon Fabricating Corporation in 1923, building a reputation from its earliest years by producing durable, made-to-order equipment for industrial customers whose applications demanded dependable workmanship and practical engineering solutions.
Expanding Into Corrosion Protection
Moon became an approved applicator of corrosion-resistant sheet and rubber linings as regional applicator networks developed, starting with Koroseal approval in 1957. That expansion into lining and coating work — alongside our original fabrication business — set the direction the company has followed ever since.
Becoming a Single-Source Provider
Through the 1960s and 1970s, Moon Fabricating expanded its lining capabilities and became a single-source supplier of lined chemical-storage and process equipment — meaning customers no longer needed to coordinate a separate fabricator and lining contractor for the same tank.
